Banning Director of Public Works Duane Burk wants the city to build a satellite sewage treatment plant near Westward and Sunset avenues. He said that building a satellite plant on the West Side would make sense. "It's where the demand is," according to Burk. Some of the demand is for recycled water to irrigate the golf course at Sun Lakes Country Club, a 55+ community that has been promised purple pipe (recycled) water for years.
