In defense of Gail Paparian

(Note: Writing a regular column has its benefits as it informs, amuses and sometimes educates the public. However, the columnist oft times becomes the target! Every once is awhile, a reader writes something in defense of the too often beat up columnist. Thank you readers. GP)
To the editor:

Gail Paparian is an articulate  and eloquent author of the most interesting and enlightening column the Record Gazette has to offer. She is a good hearted lady that happens to have the ability to actually say what she feels. She gives honest insight in a very entertaining format. She, unlike others, does not show favoritism. She is interested in and works to better the entire Banning community, unlike others  that focus only on their own self serving projects and clicks. She is most often right on the money. She is not to be criticized, she is to be applauded.

Those who criticize this talented woman need leave her alone, enjoy the column, and open their eyes to those wolves in sheep's clothing that pose a true threat to Banning, and the folks that have been here many years, along with the new ones that want a nice place to live.

I would also like to say that although street fairs and outdoor art showings can be fun for those that are inclined to attend. There are, however, a lot of wonderful business men and women downtown that are waiting to serve the community. We all would like to see your faces actually inside in our shops after the street fairs are over. Downtown will only be reborn through patronage of downtown business. End of story.
