As noted By Gail Paparian

Have an opinion?

If you care about your country, your state and local c o m m u n i t y , e x p r e s s yourself...VOTE in the November 2nd election. If you have recently moved, you must re-register to vote. If you have not registered to vote, shame on you. The cutoff date to register is October 18, 2004.

All the opinions in the world matter not if you are not registered, informed and go to the polls (or use absentee ballots) and vote.

Obviously there is the presidential election, state candid ates and b all ot m easures an d wh at I consider to be the utmost importance; local elections. For example there are three seats coming up on the Banning City Council with six people vying to fill those seats. All incumbents are seeking re-election with three other challengers.

Do you know who they are? Because these are the people who make the decisions affecting all the people in Banning, if you don’t know who they are...take a moment to find out.

Your Chamber will be involved in hosting a c a n d i d a t e ’ s f o r u m . Arrangements are being made and details on the event appear on page 6 of this newsletter. PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND.

Does one vote count? Absolutely! American p r e s i d e n t s A n d r e w Johnson and Rutherford B. Hayes became president by...One vote.

If you care about your country and your community, register; then vote.
